The safety imperative

Thermal protection is a design constraint, not an accessory.

In battery systems, a single cell failure can trigger thermal runaway propagation across the pack. In aerospace, fire containment is part of certification and system safety. In defense, thermal protection, fire resistance and signature management contribute directly to platform resilience.

Skogar® was engineered for these environments: high-performance, ultra-thin, flame-resistant thermal barriers, certified UL94 V-0 and FAR 25.853, with grades covering cryogenic temperatures up to +1700 °C depending on application.

European manufacturing

Sovereign by design.

Skogar® is manufactured at our facility in Rochetoirin, France — by a 100% European-owned company with no foreign control over its operations, technology, or supply chain.

For aerospace and defense procurement teams, this is a decisive advantage: ITAR-free exports, REACH compliance, full supply chain auditability, and intellectual property developed and owned in Europe.

  • Manufactured in France — European industrial base
  • ~100% European sourcing — secured, short supply chain
  • Independent European company — strategic autonomy
  • European-owned IP — no licensing dependency
  • ITAR-free — simplified procurement and lower geopolitical risks
  • REACH compliant — EU chemical regulation

R&D and Intellectual Property

Enersens was founded on deep materials science expertise in silica aerogel chemistry and advanced composites based on fibers and foams. Our intellectual property was built through sustained collaboration with leading European research institutions, with early patents co-developed alongside academic partners, anchoring the company in rigorous public-private research.

Over 15 years, successive EU- and French-funded programs have refined this expertise into a proprietary, industrially mature technology platform. The EIC Accelerator program has accelerated industrialization, while the MATICS collaboration with Verkor and Saint-Gobain drives next-generation product development.
